A repeating schedule of events will create anticipation year after year for the next murder mystery event! A Hometown Whodunit event brings in visitors during the off season, and brings in the tourists who already are in your town directly into local businesses.

Hosting Organizations

Want to bring Hometown Whodunit to your town? Hosting organizations include Chambers of Commerce, Boards of Tourism, Town Councils, Parks & Recreation Departments, and other community groups!

You Get Credit

A hosting organization gets headline credit in our promotional materials. For example, the event might be listed on registration materials as “A Mystery in [YOUR TOWN], hosted by the [YOUR TOWN] Chamber of Commerce.” Hometown Whodunit’s listing as producer and contact information will be separate.

Non-Profit Raffle

You can direct the raffle proceeds to a non-profit of your choice. You run the actual game, sell additional raffle tickets, and keep the proceeds.

Turnkey Event

We write the story, coordinate with business owners, collect ticket sponsorship fees, recruit and direct actors, and create marketing materials including social media posts and flyers.

What Hosting Organizations Bring to the Event

Once you sign up, we need your help connecting with local businesses because you know your community best. We also need help connecting with local volunteers for the event and local advertising. Other than that, we handle everything!

How many participants can I expect?

The first year, expect ~ 200 participants. Growth is exponential, and reaches 1,000 people a year within just 5 years!

How can you offer this for free?

This costs the hosting organization nothing! Hometown Whodunit is compensated with ticket sales and sponsorships.

How many businesses participate?

While the traditional limit is 30 businesses, there can be situations for additional business participation! If you have more than 30 businesses that want to participate, we can make that happen!
